Erika Schipa & Betti Rollo

Erika Schipa (Lecce, Italy, 1988) is contemporary dancer, performer and independent choreographer. She has bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance c/o National Academy of Rome and a master degree’s in Performing Art c/o ISAC in Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. She has been performing since 2018 with PUBLIC MOVEMENT from Tel Aviv. Erika has been worked with LES GENS D’UTERPAN (Paris), DORA GARCIA (Barcelona), CIE JULIE MAGNEVILLE (Paris), CHARLOTTE VANDE EYDEN (Brussels), KULLI ROOSNA & KENNETH FLAK (Estonia), LOUISE CHARDON (Antwerp). In 2014 She made a video-performance in collaboration with Gianluca Colitta, Erika danst Rosas danst Rosas for Re: ROSAS Remix Project, shown in Kaaitheater Gallery and chosen from Anne Teresa Der Keersmaker to be performed in live version for Brussel Danst 2014. She has been working since 2014, on the concept of SPACE IN, a research/performance based on the interaction between the body and the space/architecture. Space In has been performed in Central Electrique, Center for contemporary art in Brussels, for NAOperforming festival 2016 in Milan. In 2017 Space In, became a Duo, SPACE IN – TWO (S I – T) with the collaboration of Betti Rollo. S I – T has been performed in A Maglie Larghe, a festival of performing Art , Palo del Colle (Italy). In 2019 with a support from Jonah Bokaer Art Foundation, S I – T has been shown for The Exponential festival, Brooklyn.

Betti Rollo is a dancer, performer, and choreographer from Italy. She graduated in the Teatrodanza Atelier in the Paolo Grassi School of Art, Milan in 2014. From 2014 on she has performed in the US company of Jonah Bokaer Choreography as one of the core interpreters. She has been working as a performer for Robert Wilson, Mette Sterre, Christopher Knowles, Marianna Kavallieratos, Emanuela Tagliavia, and others. She has performed in prestigious national and international theaters / festivals such as Spoleto Festival (IT), Next Wave Festival - BAM (USA), Guggenheim Museum (USA), Piccolo Studio Melato Theater (IT), Brisbane Festival’s PowerHouse Theater (AU), Biennale de la Danse de Lyon (FR), and many others. Rollo collaborates with the Milan Theater Company - Guinea Pigs, with Erika Schipa, and Alessandra Gaeta / Factor Hill.
